Giraph Giraph builds upon the graph-oriented nature of Pregel but additionally adds fault-tolerance to the coordinator process with the use of ZooKeeper as its centralized coordination service. Giraph follows the bulk-synchronous parallel model relative to graphs where vertices can send messages to other vertices during a given superstep. Checkpoints are initiated by the Giraph infrastructure at user-defined intervals and are used for automatic application restarts when any worker in the application fails. Any worker in the application can act as the application coordinator and one will automatically take over if the current application coordinator fails. -

Linked Enterprise Data Patterns The goal of this workshop is threefold: Describe a set of standard patterns, design choices and best practices that will give application writers much stronger guidance and reduce the number of design decisions they have to make when adopting Linked Data as an application architecture. Identify a handful of gaps in the current Linked Data specs that are uncovered by common application scenarios. Propose a set of simple solutions to those gaps that could be rapidly specified and approved by W3C -

The 4th International Workshop on Semantic Sensor Networks 2011 (SSN11) — CSIRO ICT Centre A workshop of the 10th International Semantic Web Conference (ISWC 2011), 23-27 October 2011, Bonn, Germany. The goal of the Semantic Sensor Networks workshop is to develop an understanding of the ways semantic web technologies, including ontologies, agent architectures and semantic web services, can contribute to the growth, application and deployment of large-scale sensor networks and their applications. The workshop provides an inter-disciplinary forum to explore and promote these concepts.
