Google Research has released a working paper introducing ‘Earth AI’, a family of geospatial AI models paired with an agentic reasoning system. The main idea is to move beyond the traditional approach of using single, siloed models for specific tasks (like analysing satellite imagery or population data) and instead combine multiple foundation models that can ‘talk’ to each other.
